M.A.A.S. Aims and Objectives

We are a group of British Muslims who believe that we have a common bond both religiously, historically and socially with our Jewish brothers and sisters. We therefore believe that:

Anti-Semitism and Islamophobia come from very similar places and that it is our duty to combat Anti-Semitism through non-violent and peaceful means. By helping to combat it we also ensure that the prejudices that can so easily be turned against Muslims through Islamophobia, are tackled.

That the Holocaust and other genocides should be marked and remembered. We fully endorse the Holocaust Memorial Day which has also included and commemorated genocides against Muslims in places like Srebrenica in Bosnia.
Anti-Semitic attacks (whatever their origin) should be condemned just as vocally as we would condemn attacks against Muslims for their faith

Mutual co-existence and understanding between both Muslims and Jews is the only way forward to protect life in the Middle East and globally.
The history of co-dependence and mutual trust and empathy between Muslims and Jews in places like Bosnia, Spain, Portugal and Gibraltar, be celebrated as models of what can be achieved.
